By far the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience I have ever had attempting to apply for a rental. The front desk woman was unfriendly, weirdly aggressive, and acted as though I had insulted her on some personal level. I left slightly shaking yet maintained my friendly and professional composure by the most confusing of interactions. Huge red flag! No thanks; I will absolutely look elsewhere!
I did that, i asked if we were the first one to inquire that unit, they said that they couldn't say, so i went ahead and applied, me and my partner paid 50 each application (100) it was on a Friday so they said they would call us back next week.
Here is how they work. SCAMMERS, watch out !!!!
My conclusion with how they are pushing their clients to pay the most fees possible at move in, must be to use the money in house(illegal).
I lived at one of Hosanna's property for almost 3 yrs. From 2011 to 2014. I have to say out of all the places I have rented from in Eugene/Springfield they are the best. They always attended to my maintenance and any other problems right away. They did not raise my rent a lot like other places do and then you are forced to move because the rent is to much. I felt very secure and could afford the rent.
They called with the full price, so she said, it will be, 650 for the rent, 850 for deposit including the pet deposit, and a 250 risk deposit.
Then i said, well you know what i need the place now, so lets just go ahead and do your way
On Monday i get a call questing a few more info for my partner rent history, we gave them whatever they requested. After a few hours i get a call that we were proved for that unit.
She then asked why he applied then, i told her that because we just decided to move in together, but i was already looking for my own self solo, she then said let me talk with my supervisor, at that point i asked her if i could speak directly with her supervisor, as this phone tagging is just unprofessional, she denied that, said that i could not speak with the supervisor and gave me no reasons why.
They say to be qualified you have to make 2.5 times the rent in income, i surpass with my own income.
She then went to talk with her supervisor again, when she came back, they agreed to do the contract with us, and she was asking if 9am would be a good time to sign the contract, i said yes sure, and at that point i asked her if i could have Hosanna, the person i start the application with in the office, she put me on hold and when she came back she said that they could NOT do the contract, because i was raising them questions and that I've became suspicious of some sort, and that i would have to write by email why i think i should not pay the 250 risk rent, i went and did that, we started the process on 01/13/17, by the time i have to send the email it was 01/20/17, i got a phone call from Hosanna saying she got the email on the same day 01/20, but was a Friday so they would only look at on Monday, today is the 01/26/17, i have not received anything, call or e-mail about what were their decision.
650 + 850 + 250 = 1.750 risk deposit. After her talking with the "Supervisor" she said that now i was raising them questions and that I've became suspicious of some sort.
Then i asked if i withdraw him from the application and only do it on my name, would i still have to pay the 250 risk deposit as i know for sure im more then qualified for this place. She then put me on hold to ask her supervisor.
She start saying what would the next steps be, she said that as i have a dog, they HIGHLY recommended me to pay the $500 Pet Deposit, and were push about that, i said that with what i was going a little hard time, and that would be too much for me atm, so i picked the monthly fee for the dog + 100 deposit, she then said ok, well call you in a bit with the full amount you have to bring when signing the contract.
She then said that they would have to revise mine solo and that there was more people in line for the same property (first time they said that even after i asked before and they said they could not talk about).
I had rented from hosanna for 2.5 yrs. They gave me 60 days no cause. And I know why bc the dipshit acrossed the way was pissed off made rude comments about me. When hosanna knew why I had my father stayed with me for 2 nights I just got out of a DV relesaship n my kids got taken away from me. But they aren't no Christian bc if they did they wouldn't kick out me and my boys from our only home. Y'all are ruthless and makes me sick.
Hosanna takes great care of their tenants. During the ice storm they brought a generator (that belonged to an employee of Hosanna) to a single mom and her family that was out of power (no heat or water). When they know there's a need, they do everything in their power to take care of it.
Then i asked why we would have to pay a risk rent deposit if my income is way more that what you request, and then i asked if i could speak with Hosanna, and they said she wasn't there (shes the person i start the process with at their office), i said OK, and then she went to ask her supervisor why the 250 risk deposit, she then said because of my partner rent history.
I found a property they were listing on HotPads and other ones as well, so i contacted Hosanna Real Estate Services, Inc., located in Springfield Or, i asked if that unit was still available, she said yes, and explained what would be need to get started, fill out the application and a 50 fee per applicant and a copy of my last month income.
