The business' second revenue stream is selling phone cards, phone calls and money wiring services to Latin American countries; I think that's part of the reason for the long hours. I haven't used those services to be able to comment on their rates.
Highly recommended sweet bread
Open late, big parking lot (shared with a strip club, but that just means it's empty during the day).
Staff all speak at least enough English to check you out without it getting awkward. Friendly, but not greet-you-at-the-door overly friendly, which is just how I like it: sell me these delicious empanadas and let's not make a whole thing out of it.
Great Mexican pastry, select-your-own with tongs and tray. Except for the tres leches and flan in the fridge, which you have to get help from the clerk for. They take custom cake (etc.) orders, but I haven't done that.
They are not consistent with their baked goods. Many times they don't even make their best item which is the bread with ham cheese and jalapeños.
Amazing pastries and fantastic breads! Quite a nice selection of Mexican spices and cooking ingredients, as well as snacks and other groceries.
Great bakery. We buy breads and what not from there at least 2 times a week. Always nice people
Store is one open space, no aisles, with pastry cases and shelves around the edges of it. Not a place you can lose sight of cookie-mad children.
